KKR beat RCB by 4 wickets in a close encounter at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
RCB started their innings on a explosive note with Brendan McCullum scoring 43 off 27 balls. ABD and Kohli also chipped in with decent scores of 44 and 31 respectively. ABD and Kohli were looking dominant at one stage but the off spinner Nitish Rana dismissed them in successive deliveries and brought KKR right into the match. But the late blitz by Mandeep, who scored 37 off 18 balls took RCB to a challenging total of 176/7. For KKR, Nitish Rana and Vinay Kumar took 2 wickets each.
Sunil Narine gave flying start to KKR’s innings. He was the main tormentor scoring 50 off 17 balls. The run rate was always above the asking rate and KKR was never put under any real pressure. Nitish Rana scored 34 runs. Captain Dinesh Karthik scored 35 off 29 balls and stayed right till the end. KKR reached the target in 18.5 overs and won by 4 wickets.
